

The Rose Group was created in 1985 by Harry Rose. Harry Rose was affiliated with the
Marriott hotel chain for 20 years and rose to Vice President of Operations
for the Mid-Atlantic market for Roy Rogers restaurants.
Mr. Rose started The Rose Group by purchasing 5 of the Roy Rogers from
Marriott and then continued to expand by acquiring Boston Market restaurants
in 1994. By July of 1996, The Rose Group was operating 12 Boston Markets
and achieved national recognition for sales performance, highest opening
week sales, and the entire area was able to achieve the highest average
weekly volume. In 1995, Harry Rose began his association with Applebee's
restaurants. His first unit opened in Annapolis, MD in January 1995 and
quickly grew to 14 units by mid 1999. In 1997, Applebee's International
chose Harry Rose and The Rose Group as its "Franchisee of the Year." In December of 1999, The Rose Group was able to acquire the Philadelphia
market from Applebee's International which brought in an immediate growth
of 12 existing operating Applebee's units and also carried a stipulation
to build 15 more in the Philadelphia market. In 2000 The Rose Group took
some time to help facilitate and mesh the collective group of all 28 units
but also opened 2 new units at the end of the year. In 2001, The Rose
Group opened 5 Applebee's units and are planning to open several more
in 2002. The current growth strategy of The Rose Group will be to continue
to grow at a pace of 3 to 4 units a year.

BENEFITS:
We have a 2 tier medical coverage program through Amerihealth. We have
a POS core plan and then also a PAO Buy Up plan. Membership into either
plan includes Dental coverage through Delta Dental and also includes Vision
coverage.
We have a 401(k) plan in which all new hires are eligible to participate
in after only 6 months. Participants can invest up to 15 percent of their
base salary and The Rose Group will match the first 5 percent at a rate
of $0.25 per dollar. It is based on a 5 year vesting schedule.
The Rose Group provides Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance
at no cost to the employee and also provides Life Insurance (1 1/2 x base
salary) at no cost to the employee.
Supplemental Life Insurance is also available to allow managers to acquire
additional life insurance at a discounted rate.
- VACATION -
Vacations for full time salaried associates is based on calendar years
of employment. During your first year of employment you are eligible to
accrue vacation pursuant to Rose Group Policy. From your second to fourth
calendar years you are eligible to earn 10 vacation days. During your
fifth calendar year, you are eligible to earn 15 vacation days.
- HOLIDAYS -
Rose Group Applebee's restaurants observe Thanksgiving Day and December
25th as paid holidays for management. As an added benefit, you have the
option to schedule a normal day off during these holidays and use the
time instead as two additional floating personal days.
- PERSONAL/BEREAVEMENT PAY -
You can take up to 2 days off with pay to cover personal time such as
funeral leave and religious/personal holidays.
